• May 17th 1954: Brown vs board of education case was one of many cases demanding no segregation in public schools. The law was passed.



  • December 1st 1951: Rosa Parks was arrested for breaking the law. She was an inspiration for the civil rights movement



  • September 25th 1957: The 101th airborne division protected black kids from the national guard



  • Febuary 1st 1960: Four black students peacfully protested, and many people joined them.

  • April 3rd 1963: The protests eventually reached birmingham which was still segregating. Many people were arrested including children.



  • 1963: Somebody bombed the church where Martin Luther King started his movement



  • August 28th 1963: The march for freedom happpened where Martin luther king preformed his most iconic speech



  • 1964: Malcom X left the Nation of Islam because they were trying to support segregation



  • July 2nd 1964: President Johnson approved the Civil Rights Act



  • August 6th 1965: The Voting Rights was passed



  • April 4th 1968: Martin Luther King was assasinated
