Transformation Project: Abstract

Is there more we can do to conserve water during the drought? The drought in Southern California has an obvious effect on all of us. We are encouraged to conserve water, and given ways to use less, but is there another way? The key may be to let average citizens collect their own water. An easy way to do this is to collect the water that falls on our roofs. The water could easily be filtered and stored in a tank, and if it isn’t potable, it can be used for irrigation.
May 17th 1954: Brown vs board of education case was one of many cases demanding no segregation in public schools. The law was passed. December 1st 1951: Rosa Parks was arrested for breaking the law. She was an inspiration for the civil rights movement September 25th 1957: The 101th airborne division protected black kids from the national guard Febuary 1st 1960: Four black students peacfully protested, and many people joined them. April 3rd 1963: The protests eventually reached birmingham which was still segregating. Many people were arrested including children. 1963: Somebody bombed the church where Martin Luther King started his movement August 28th 1963: The march for freedom happpened where Martin luther king preformed his most iconic speech 1964: Malcom X left the Nation of Islam because they were trying to support segregation July 2nd 1964: President Johnson approved the Civil Rights Act August 6th 1965: The Voting Rights was pa...
